GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE SRINAGAR'S TWO-DAY ANNUAL SPORTS CARNIVAL CONCLUDES AMIDST HIGH STANDARDS OF SPORTSMANSHIP

The highly successful two-day annual sports carnival of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar concluded today, showcasing exceptional sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants.

               Special Tug of War matches were held between female faculty versus female UG students and male faculty versus male UG students.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

           A grand prize distribution ceremony was held to felicitate winning teams and individuals. Winner/runner-up trophies were given to winners and runners-up by Principal/Dean and guests of honor, including:- Administrator,Prof. Dr. Muzafar Jan, HOD Paediatrics,Prof. Dr. Sajad Nazir, HOD Urology,Prof. Dr. Rakesh, HOD Medicine,Prof. Dr. Yasmeen Jabeen, HOD Dermatology

Batch 2021 was adjudged the best batch and received the Best Batch Trophy. Dr. Arshid, Associate Professor, Department of Surgery, was recognized for his role as Organizing Secretary.

PRINCIPAL/DEAN'S MESSAGE

          Prof. Dr. Iffat Hassan congratulated everyone for organizing the successful event. Emphasizing the importance of sports and co-curricular activities for a healthy and sound body, she urged for regular organization of such events and revision of the annual sports calendar.

GMC Srinagar has had a remarkable sporting year, winning various events, including the recently concluded inter-college tournament organized by the University of Kashmir.

The Annual sports meet was organized by the sports committee of the CASS union of GMC Srinagar under the chairmanship of Professor Muzzaffar Jan, Head of the Deptt of Paediatrics, in conformity with NMC guidelines .
