HOD Message

The postgraduate department of  Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy is a pioneer and leading center in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir which caters to huge influx of patients with all types of skin, hair and nail ailments. The department has an excellent team comprising of faculty, senior residents and meritorious postgraduates and is at par with the best centres of the country in terms of the patient care, teaching and  research. The focus of the department is to provide the best services to our patients, impart knowledge, aptitute and skills to our students and to excel in basic research.

It will be our earnest endeavour  

to render more and more specialized services so that  our patients can get the benefit of state of the art treatment. Since the number of postgraduate and undergraduate students is increasing, the department is keeping a pace for developing and upgrading the academic skills in them. I look forward to the continued support and cooperation from all stakeholders so that we as a team can execute this responsibility and try to improve further.
