CME’S AND WORKSHOPS

Besides undergraduate teaching the department is involved in holding CME’S AND WORKSHOPS: 2013

  1. A workshop was held for doctors working with the directorate of health in collaboration with NRHM. Topics covered were:
  2. LEGAL ASPECT OF Examination of sexual assault victim.
  3. Forensic Toxicology.
  4. Do’s and Dont’s of handling MEDICOLEGAL AUTOPSIES.
  5. CLINICAL FORENSIC MEDICINE.
  6. CME on “EXAMINATION OF A VICTIM OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND MEDICOLEGAL ASPECTS IN GYNECOLOGICAL PRACTICES’.
  7. Training of doctors and paramedics on yatra duty in “CONDUCTION OF AUTOPSIES” and “EMBALMING”.
  8. Orientation of newly directly appointed DISTRICT & SESSION JUDGES in ‘MEDIOCOLEGAL ISSUES” as a part of “INDUCTION TRAINING COURSE”.( 2 days)
  9. CME on ‘ MEDICAL ETHICS”, delivered by Prof. Shokat Ashai, Ex. Faculty Jhon Hopkins University USA.
  10. Delivered a  series of lectures  LLM STUDENTS OF ‘CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KASHMIR” on various topics in ‘FORENSIC SCIENCES’ as a part of their curriculum.

  1. Workshop was held in feb 2014 In collaboration with NRHM, for doctors working in the field, Topics covered were:

  3. Reconstruction of the scene of crime.

 

  1. CME on “MEDICOLEGAL ASPECTS OF CLINICAL PRACTICE “ on the 13th of February 2014.

The department is actively involved in conducting training programs for health officers [from health departments];  as well as CME and workshops . Currently Department is involved in digitalization of medico legal work [MEDLEAPR] in GMC and associated hospitals.
